Product Description
The PSVL2-27CG Charge Pump functions as an important low-pressure oil supply unit in hydraulic systems. It is designed to provide the main pump with stable charge flow and charge pressure. The pump operates based on the principle of volumetric hydraulic transmission, where the meshing rotation of external gears changes the volume of sealed working chambers, enabling continuous suction and discharge of hydraulic oil.
The charge pump helps maintain favorable suction conditions for the main pump, supplies oil for system control circuits, and provides necessary lubrication and cooling for key internal components. When the main pump high-pressure circuit operates under long-term high-pressure and heavy-load conditions, the charge pump ensures a stable charge pressure supply, helping prevent cavitation and insufficient oil supply. This reduces wear and potential damage to critical components such as the pistons, bearings, and valve plate, ensuring stable and efficient operation of the entire hydraulic system, extending equipment service life, and reducing maintenance costs.
Strong Versatility & High Compatibility: Specially developed for NACHI PSVL2-27CG series axial piston main pumps, it is perfectly suitable for 20–30 ton medium-to-large excavators and other medium-sized hydraulic equipment. It adopts NACHI standardized mounting interface and special precision spline shaft design, 100% interchangeable with NACHI original spare parts, with easy disassembly and assembly, and strong universality in maintenance and replacement, fully matching the original equipment maintenance needs of medium-sized hydraulic systems.
High Precision & Stable Performance: Adopting high-strength ductile iron casing and high-hardness quenched alloy steel gears, combined with NACHI precision machining technology, it has excellent wear resistance, impact resistance and high temperature resistance, and can adapt to high dust, vibration, high temperature and long-term continuous medium-load working conditions of 20-30 ton medium-sized equipment in construction sites and mines. The built-in charge relief valve stably controls pilot pressure at 3.5–4.0 MPa, effectively preventing system overpressure damage and ensuring stable operation under long-term medium load.
Multi-Functional Integration & System Protection: It integrates three core functions: high-precision pilot control pressure supply, forced lubrication, and efficient oil replenishment, which is an indispensable auxiliary component for the normal operation of NACHI PSVL2-27CG series main pumps. It shares a common suction port with the main pump circuit, optimizes oil supply efficiency, effectively compensates for oil leakage of medium-sized hydraulic systems, prevents cavitation of the main pump, reduces wear of internal precision components, and extends the service life of the main pump and the entire hydraulic system.
Compact Structure & Excellent Adaptability: With integrated and compact design, it is reasonable in structure and stable in performance, perfectly matching the limited installation space of medium-sized hydraulic equipment such as 20–30 ton excavators. It can be directly mounted on NACHI PSVL2-27CG series main pumps without extra space, with high integration and strong adaptability, fully fitting the structural characteristics of medium-sized equipment.
Low Noise & Easy Maintenance: Optimized gear meshing and NACHI precision machining technology lower operating noise to ≤ 66 dB, providing a quieter working environment for medium-sized equipment operators. Standardized NACHI structural design makes daily maintenance simple: only regular inspection of oil cleanliness, oil level and seals, pump cleaning and filter replacement are needed. Long service life reaches more than 2800 working hours, effectively reducing maintenance cost and equipment downtime for medium-sized equipment.

Charge Pump FAQ
A: No, it is integrated with the main pump and does not require separate installation. When replacing, ensure that the spline shaft is accurately aligned with the main pump drive shaft, tighten the fixing screws with a torque wrench, keep the contact surface flat and free of impurities, and use a seal ring of the correct size to ensure sealing performance.
2.What preparations are needed before starting the Charge Pump for the first time?
A: Manually fill the charge pump with clean hydraulic oil through the drain port to empty the internal air and avoid dry running damage. Jog start several times to confirm that the rotation direction is clockwise (when viewed from the shaft end), and there is no abnormal sound or oil leakage before formal operation. In addition, manually turn the main shaft to check the self-priming condition of the charge pump.
3.What are the requirements for hydraulic oil when using the Charge Pump?
A: The cleanliness of hydraulic oil must meet the ISO 18/15 standard, and the oil temperature should be kept between 15–65℃. It is recommended to regularly replace hydraulic oil and filters; under harsh working conditions such as mines and high dust, the replacement cycle should be shortened to avoid component wear caused by oil pollution.
4. Can the rotation direction of the Charge Pump be reversed? What are the consequences of reverse rotation?
A: No, it cannot be reversed; its rotation direction is the same as that of the main pump. Reverse rotation will cause no oil delivery, system pressure loss, internal gear wear, and even damage to the pump body and the main pump. When installing, pay attention to the chamfer direction of the gear rotor to avoid reverse installation.
5. Is the Charge Pump a dedicated accessory? Can it work normally without it?
A: It is a dedicated charge pump for the main pump and cannot be used universally with other models. The main pump cannot work normally without it, which will cause serious damage to the internal components of the main pump and affect the service life of the entire hydraulic system.
6.Can the displacement of the Charge Pump be replaced arbitrarily?
A: No, it cannot. The standard displacement is 12 cm³/rev; replacing it with other displacements (10/14 cm³/rev) without authorization will lead to insufficient or too high pilot pressure, abnormal lubrication flow, and early wear of the main pump. The displacement should be selected according to the actual working conditions of the equipment.
The pump's flow is adjusted by changing the angle of an internal swash plate. As the swash plate angle changes, the stroke length of the pistons varies, which in turn changes the volume of fluid displaced per rotation, allowing the flow rate to adapt to the system's needs.
