Product Description

The TFA series suction filter is an important component in hydraulic systems, primarily installed at the suction port of the oil pump to protect the oil pump and other hydraulic components from contaminants. Similar to the TF series, the TFA series filter does not have a self-sealing valve and can only be installed on the upper part of the oil tank, with the suction cylinder submerged below the oil level in the tank.


Key Features of TFA Series Oil Suction Filters

  • No Self-Sealing Valve: This is the main difference between the TFA and TF series. Due to the lack of a self-sealing valve, this filter can only be installed on the top of the oil tank.  When replacing the filter element, the oil circuit cannot be automatically sealed, requiring the oil tank to be drained or an external shut-off valve to be used.

  • Installation Position: Can only be installed on the top of the oil tank, with the filter head (top connection part) exposed outside the oil tank for easy installation and maintenance.

  • Bypass Valve: Built-in bypass valve that automatically opens when the filter element is clogged or the oil viscosity is too high (vacuum reaches 0.02 MPa) to ensure normal oil suction by the oil pump and prevent cavitation.

  • Contamination Indicator: Optional visual or electrical signaling device is available, providing a signal when the vacuum reaches a preset value (e.g., 0.018 MPa) to indicate that the filter element needs cleaning or replacement.

  • Filtering Material: Typically uses stainless steel woven mesh, with a filtration accuracy range of 80 to 180 micrometers (µm).

  • Low Flow Resistance: As a suction filter, its design focuses on low pressure loss to ensure that the oil pump can smoothly draw in the oil.

  • Heavy Machinery: Extensively used in the hydraulic systems of excavators, cranes, bulldozers, and mining machinery to filter out large debris and particles that might otherwise damage the pump in demanding operational environments.

  • Agriculture: Safeguards the hydraulic systems in tractors, combines, and irrigation equipment from the soil, moisture, and organic debris encountered in farming operations.
