 Parker F11 Bent Axis Piston Pump Overview


Parker F11 hydraulic pump series has operating pressures up to 420 bar (6,100 psi) and have high selfpriming speeds. The F11 is a robust design pump, and can be used in numerous applications in both open and closed loop circuits. Sizes from 5-19cc.

1. What is the main difference between axial and radial piston pumps?

The primary difference lies in the arrangement of pistons:

  • Axial piston pump: Pistons are arranged parallel to the drive shaft.

  • Radial piston pump: Pistons are arranged perpendicular (radially) around the shaft.

1.How does the variable displacement work?

The pump's flow is adjusted by changing the angle of an internal swash plate. As the swash plate angle changes, the stroke length of the pistons varies, which in turn changes the volume of fluid displaced per rotation, allowing the flow rate to adapt to the system's needs.
