 PVH Series  Axial Piston Pumps Overview

The PVH high-flow, high-performance pumps are a family of variable displacement axial piston pumps, incorporating the proven designs of other Eaton Vickers piston pumps. They feature high-quality manufacturing technology and operating characteristics, while being compact and lightweight.
The PVH series is specifically engineered to meet the performance requirements of 250 bar (3625 psi) continuous operation in next-generation equipment designs.
These pumps are highly efficient, reliable, and offer maximum operational flexibility through a wide range of optional control modes. Customized for harsh operating conditions, they deliver the productivity gains and improved controllability demanded in markets such as earthmoving machinery, construction machinery, machine tools, and flexible plastics machinery, as well as other energy-conscious sectors. Like all Eaton Vickers products, these pumps have undergone extensive laboratory testing and field validation.

  • Flexible design options include single pumps, through-drive configurations, and a variety of shaft extensions and control modes, adapting to any application and delivering the most cost-effective equipment.

  • Proven component design is housed in a heavy-duty, compact casing to deliver continuous operating performance at 250 bar (3625 psi) and 280 bar (4050 psi) in load-sensing systems. This design ensures long service life at the higher performance levels required in today’s power-dense machinery.

  • Each compensator is engineered for maximum efficiency in its intended application, delivering the most effective system control. With volumetric efficiency exceeding 95%, more flow is generated, and a greater share of input power is directed to work rather than being lost as heat.

  • Heavy-duty bearings and shaft extensions minimize internal deflection and wear, offering longer service life and maximum uptime.

1.How does the variable displacement work?

The pump's flow is adjusted by changing the angle of an internal swash plate. As the swash plate angle changes, the stroke length of the pistons varies, which in turn changes the volume of fluid displaced per rotation, allowing the flow rate to adapt to the system's needs.
